Staying nearby and the giant lobster on the roof caught our eyes. Immediately loved the place walking in the door. Lots of collections to look around at, a lady playing piano, amazing view of the water. Our party of 6 all ordered something different and everything was excellent. Pastas, fried oysters, beef tips and of course boiled lobster and steamed clams. I'm a lobster novice and our server was very helpful on the eating process. Everything was tasty and portions were generous.
We had such an incredible first visit to Taste of Maine in Woolwich! My wife, son, and I decided to try it after meeting Taylor earlier in the day — and wow, we’re so glad we did! From the moment we pulled in and saw the giant lobster on the roof, we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere inside is fantastic — beautifully decorated, warm, and welcoming, with so much creative attention to detail. To top it off, there was live music with a talented pianist playing right in the dining room, which made the evening feel even more special. Our server, Ashleigh, was absolutely wonderful — friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home. She even brought crayons to keep our little guy Noah entertained while we looked over the menu. The food? Outstanding. I had the haddock sandwich, my wife ordered the lobster mac & cheese, and both dishes were cooked perfectly. We finished off with their homemade blueberry cobbler topped with Gifford’s ice cream — an absolute must-try! If you’re ever passing through Richmond, make sure to also stop by and see us at Morning Moose Coffee — we’d love to take care of you just like Taste of Maine took care of us. They have outside tables! Overlooks the river. Nice seafood options. The huge crab on the roof made it fun! Hope to be back some tume!

We did the longest lobster roll. Worked well that we had four in our party. Very good!! Nice view from the back deck and the atmosphere inside was different but in a good way. Cool old dolls, tribute to grandma and Dobby.
This is my annual stop on my way to Rockland. The eccentric lobster roof to the mini dolls inside the restaurant. We had the pleasure of a live band who did a great cover of Sweet Dreams (Eurythmics). I never fail to see something different. This time we had the Cowboy burger and the seafood casserole.
Fantastic place restaurant for fresh seafood! Great location with plenty of seating! So many seafood options. The Lobster Rolls are huge and delicious! The service is tops! The atmosphere is fun with many wonderful sites. Definitely a go to if in the area. Try the Lobster Mac n Cheese - you will not be disappointed. Also had the Lobster/Crab Roll - it was outstanding.
